Snapchat may soon be overhauling some of its fundamental features.
New screenshots unearthed by some developers show a major redesign of Snapchat’s “chat” screen, where users exchange text messages and live video. The new images suggest the company may be adding stickers as well as new way to connect with people with either voice or video calls.
The new features, first described on a forum for Android developers, were apparently found when developers from Snapprefs, a project that develops Snapchat features for third-party software, were poking around in the code of Snapchat’s Android app. They were later able to get the new features to appear long enough to test them out and take a few screenshots.
